It all began with listening. Not simply music, but something deeper — an emotion shaped by detail, silence and vibration. This is how Giovanni and Fabio have always approached the worlds of audio and design: not as exercises in style, but as disciplines devoted to the experience itself. For both of them, design has never been about making an impression. It is about removing what is unnecessary, reaching the essence, and giving form to the substance of sound.
Giovanni grew up surrounded by music and spent seven years at the Conservatory studying the violin. There, he learned that emotion emerges from balance, restraint and control. His passion for design stems from the same principle: no excess, no artifice — only what is truly necessary for music to express itself without filters.
With a background in architecture, Fabio found in design his natural language. To him, design means rigour, proportion and function. It is the ability to understand materials and their limits, avoiding oversized or theatrical solutions that often add nothing — and can instead take something away. His deeply analytical approach leads him to constantly question what the “right sound” should be, and how design can serve it without ever imposing itself upon it.
This is how Antheo was conceived: through the combined vision of two minds, bringing together musical sensitivity and an architectural approach to form, united by the desire to create an object in which design does not dominate the music, but gives it space.
But the idea needs more than vision to take concrete form.
And this is where fate made its entrance.
Meeting Angelo and Giulia, owner of a company specialising in precision metalworking, transformed that vision into a tangible project. It brought together specialist expertise, micron-level precision and a profound understanding of materials. Where Giovanni and Fabio saw balance, proportion and function, Angelo and Giulia translated those principles into structure, control and mechanical stability.
What followed was an eight-year journey.
Eight years of prototypes, rethinking and discovery, during which every challenge opened a new path and every technical limitation became an opportunity to improve. The turntable evolved not simply as a product, but as the meeting point of two distinct worlds: high-end audio and precision engineering.
Over time, these two identities learned to complement one another. Sound found its ideal foundation in material, while mechanics learned to “listen”.
The result is a turntable in which nothing is left to chance. Every formal decision serves a function; every manufacturing process exists to eliminate interference and compromise. It brings together sound quality, exceptional engineering precision and an essential, understated design conceived to endure.
